Affordable Housing Referrals
Decent housing and a suitable living environment is a goal for every household. Housing affordability can be calculated by comparing the maximum affordable payment of income groups with the cost of housing. The maximum affordable payment is based 30% of gross income spent on housing costs including taxes and utilities. Finding affordable housing that does not exceed the maximum affordable payment of their income remains a challenge for most low-income households.
Raft's future goal is to develop affordable housing units in our community. Until then, Raft provides affordable housing referrals for our enrolled students. Referrals are often obtained through cooperating social service agencies that provide housing opportunities, when available. Raft is a clearinghouse of information regarding affordable and low-income housing for our service population seeking housing in various areas. Feel free to select any pdf listing below, download the file, check zip codes and contact information for housing availability in most areas.
